Loving loving loving my mp201 which I've had for a short while.
Am trying to figure out the best way to handle velocity cv out to my modular. Specifically, I'm using numerology on my mac (mp201 is handling midi>cv duties), which has an independent sequencer for velocity which I'd like to send out independent of gate - so far the only way I'm finding to send it out of the mp201 is using gate, which fires off with note on/off messages - so when it gets a gate on it will take that velocity info, but I'm thinking there must be a better way than I'm doing it - would love for it to be it's own cv that didn't suddenly jump up with the gate, like if I'm sending it to a filter with a long envelope on the amplitude I don't necessarily want it moving with note on/off.
Is gate the only way, or am I missing some better way.
