So why can i still hear the note

Post by FOOR » Sun Jan 23, 2011 3:24 am

Apologize in advance if this topic is on here and i somehow missed it. It it normal to still hear the notes faintly after you have played it?Especially noticable in the higher registers and with stereo outputs. Ex. If i play the highest C i will still faintly hear the C until i press another key or turn the minimoog off.

Isn't this phenomenon called 'oscillator leakage' a normal behavior of analog synths?

Ground loop is suggested being one reason for oscillators leaking through, se subjecthttp://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9043
By the way, normally you should not hear this on an analog synt, i.e. if the VCA is well calibrated.
