Buying a Voyager

Post by aerophone » Sat Feb 05, 2011 1:36 am

Hello,

I am living in Dubai now, I want to buy a Voyager (Electric Blue or Performer), but there are no local dealer in UAE. 'Musiciansbuy.com' offer a new Electric Blue for $2979. Could please anyone explain is that possible given that the price on official Moog website is $3495?

I also want to know your opinion about possible problems with a used device in case of buying on Ebay. There are currently some devices for sale there (Performer and Anniversary) which are $1K cheaper than brand new ones. I would be very thankful for your opinion.

And maybe some of you have mentioned gear for sale of just give me an advice what is a better way to buy and ship a Voyager to Dubai.

Thank you in advance,
Hope to join you soon)

Mike

for the warrant i'd buy new if i were in dubai.
the price difference with moog will be simple the difference between advice-price and the special offers or streetprices offerd by different shops.

Keep in Mind that the Moog prices listed on their website is the MAXIMUM MSRP. If you order from anywhere else, for an electric blue it might be 3195. If you find the right place (novamusik.com) you might be able to find the deal that I did which was 2999 for the Select Series and the Vx351.

Hope this helps.

On Alto Music a new Voyager costs $2500 which is the best official dealer price I've ever seen.

Talk to Chris at Alto music Middletown NY location . He runs the keyboard dept. I have purchased many moog products from him and sent others to purchase products also. He is the best person I have ever dealt with. Especially with Voyagers
