Envelope control of pitch on OS?

Post by pluto009 » Thu Dec 09, 2010 7:12 am

Quick question. Can either of the envelpe generators be routed to control pitch on the OS without a VX-351? I can see how it's done with one.

Use either of the modulation busses. I think Pedal/On works best since you can leave it engaged and still have use of the mod whell for filter or pitch modulation.
Set the Modulation Source to On/Mod 2 Set the destination to pitch ( selecting osc 2 or osc3 produces some really cool ‘effects since only one osc is being affected by the pitch env (think ELP’s Hoedown) . Turn the amount up just a bit to start, adjust the Attack, Decay, Sustain and release in the Filter Envelope to taste. You may have to change the octave setting on the Osc and or tuning.

Have Fun
