between 4. and 7. November we had a fanatstic Theremin Festival in Lippstadt/Germany. Lydia Kavina, Carolina Eyck, Thorwald Jorgensen, Dominik Bednarz and Thierry Frenkel gave me a beautiful and unforgettable time during the lessons and the final concert in the Jakobi-Kirche. Particular the practical lessons I've got from Lydia and Thierry created a massive boost in order to improve my abilities with the Theremin and motivated me to do more intensive excersises and trainings. I'd like to thank you Lydia and Thierry for their open and very motivating lessons and of course also to Wolfgang Streblow who organized the Festival in a great and professional manner and gave all participants the warm feeling of an international family.

Re: Without Touch 4 - Theremin Festival in Lippstadt
Niko, thank you for your kind words! It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope that there will be other occasions to make music together in the future.
I'll use this discussion thread to pre-announce the next Theremin Summer Academy which will be held in Colmar/France from June 9 to 13, 2011. As last summer there will be Carolina Eyck giving individual theremin lessons, I will (as usual) being occupied with repairing/modifying/upgrading theremins and teaching rather technical subjects.
We decided to have it earlier in 2011 in order to avoid "interference" with "Hands Off" in GB at the end of July. So the participants may spend their Pentecost holidays in Alsace, one of the most beautiful regions of France, near the German and Swiss borders and combine tourism and theremin.
A more detailed program will be set up and published in the next weeks. Stay tuned!
I have always an open ear for questions and suggestions, so don't hesitate to contact me by email theremin(at)tfrenkel(dot)com
