Loose cut off knob

Post by Jasperh » Sun Nov 14, 2010 1:06 pm

Hi again,

I am a rather enthusiastic cutoff tweaker, however strange that phrase makes me sound!

My cutoff knob is now looser than the others. It doesn't skip - it's just loose, and makes me worry it might go wrong in the future.

Anyone else had this? Can it be tightened?

Thanks!

Jasper

Now its loose, its going to stay that way. Be nice to it, perhaps like me it took you a long time to earn the money to own it. If you want to go wild with the knobs use a foot pedal connected to filter cutoff input plug or make a pot, metal box and cable to plug into it instead. Jean Michel Jarre demonstrates it on the video accompanying the Oxygene 30th anniversary. You can freak your home made pot as much as you like and chuck it if you trash it.
I've stopped talking now.

May or may not be your problem, but check the set screw on the knob and make sure it's tight ( if you don't know it's the little hole on the side of the knob, a small jewlers or eyeglass screw driver will work fine :) )
