So far I have used the LP and the Voayger RME separately.
Now I would like to play the RME from the LP.
The first test let me run into two problems:
a) I would like to control RME volume from the LP. I found no way so far.
b) I would like to readjust some LP presets for RME control. Is it possible to deactivate internal LP sound per patch, while enabling midi out there, and the other way round?

Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
Hmmmm.. do u have the latest OS? I've always been able to control the volume on RME with my volume knob on the LP... I never had to set it up or anyting, was just like that the first time I hooked the 2 up.
Moog Voyager RME / Moog LP SE 2 / Nord Rack 1 / Microkorg / Korg ER-1 / Triggerfinger / Rocktron Banshee talk box / Ableton live / Guru / Lots of non-electric musical instruments.

Older LP OS did not have volume control as a midi CC. It was added somewhere along the lines. And yes the LP has a pot mapping feature so you can map the knobs to send any CC info over midi.

Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
I definitely have to read that part of the manual. I was actually wondering how to turn that feature off. In fact I want to be able to use the LP'w Keyboard with my RME, but turn off all of the pots midi functions from the LP to the RME. Would come in handy a lot when I'm polychaining for duophony, if I can tweak each synth by itself, without effecting the other synths parameters, but still be able to play both duophonically on the keyboard.Sir Nose wrote:Older LP OS did not have volume control as a midi CC. Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
Ok, so pot mapping will be the way to go.
I use an LP Tribute Edition, but with updated hardware and an up-to-date LP OS. This can't be a reason why volume control via LP doesn't work here. So I will also check my RME settings to see if something prevents it from receiving loudness CCs. I doubt it, because I can adjust loudness from my Fantom G without problems.
But my other question is still open:
Has anybody found a convenient way to have the LP silcenced/RME used or vice versa with the hellp of patch settings?
It would be cool to be at least principally able to use the LP as masterkeyboard with LP and RME patches on board, and reaching both by just switching presets.
I guess it is not possible with the present OS, but sometimes people find solutions you don't think of yourself.

Unfortunately, that can't be done with the LP alone. Quite a few people, including myself, would like that ability. The thru as on the slim would be useful too. I'd much rather have that than a usb port.anoteoftruth wrote:I definitely have to read that part of the manual. I was actually wondering how to turn that feature off. A MIDI Solutions event processor will do the trick though. I thought they used to make just a filter (maybe not
