Just Got My Custom LP Sides!

Post by BradDollar » Fri Aug 27, 2010 2:19 am

Hey everyone. Just thought I should post a few pics of my LP Stage 1 [OS2]. Stephen over at http://synthwood.com sent these out to me the other day and I must say they look AWESOME. They also smell really really great [love fresh wood]. These particular ones are a semi-gloss Mahogany.

If anyone is looking to add wood sides to their LP [or really just about any synth] this is your guy. Enjoy!

Sorry to comment about this....but to me it looks like the wood doesn't fit the side perfectly on the last picture.... :?

Agreed. What is going on there? Was just thinking the other day, how nice my Stage II would look with wood sides. Need to make sure this guy can build to original spec.

Totally noticed this post picture. My fault completely. I had that side forward away from the rear] just a hair. Loosened it up, scooted it back into place and all was groovy. Guess I got a little too excited.

Sorry guys, I don't mean to put the company down, but I heard too many bad experiences with synthwood, (there's also a thread regarding the same thing in the forum) mostly about the service, communication, time consumed and even the quality.

I too had all those above which was ridiculous. I couldn't believe a company like that couldn't even make a perfect sides for LP.. Mine was a bit off here and there and the screw holes wasn't perfectly located so I ended up modified it myself. Service was slow, no reply for 3 weeks after payment, and after lots of emails and threating to share the bad experience they finally responded. No matter how busy they were they just can't do that to customers period.

But it was only me and some unlucky ppl. But I wouldn't suggest them.

Good luck guys!
Really, it's not those so-called 'vintage' nor 'analogs' but to have a good heart and good instict is the key..

Have to disagree there dude. All in the name of a fair and even hand... I ordered wood sides for my LP from this company and they were good on the communication side of things. Not bad since I'm in the UK and they're US... I'll find a picture of them, they do fit nicely...
