MIDI problems

Post by mattwhyman » Tue Jul 06, 2010 3:01 am

My lp works fine until I connect to my mac via MIDI .
I have a m audio firewire 1814 and I'm running pro tools m powered8.03
When I try to use the lp in this set up it goes crazy and holds notes and generally does mad stuff !
I have also tried to up grade the os to2.1 from2.0 but I can't do that either
Thanks Matt

Same problem for my LP.
My macbook and m-audio profire610 are 100% tested and working.
Midi out from LP is perfectly working, but incoming midi signal drives the synth totally crazy, i have to turn it off to stop the whole damn thing...
What's happening?

I don't know if this is your problem, but make sure the midi in plug to the LP is unplugged when you power the LP up or make sure that the LP is powered up before any other gear. People have had issues if incoming midi data was recieved during boot up.
