Taurus Case Question

This may have been asked/answered prior but I can't find it.

Can the Taurus be 'easily' played while in the base of the road case? In the pictures that I've seen it looks like there is still an 1" ledge around the pedal and you would have to deal with a) height off the floor and b) the ledge on the edge of the pedals while playing.

I suppose the other options is to jackass the beast out of the case each time?

I have the case.

As you pointed out, the pedals height from floor is not so comfortable to play T3.
In addition, cushion under T3 dents easily due to the weight.

Therfore, I play T3 out of the case.

No shite. I envy you studio rats that keep your T3's in one spot forever. Some of us are live musicians that have to lug this mofo to band practice and gigs. Still worth it though.

I have been buying Anvil cases since 1985. Occasionally I stray to a different brand case and I've seen a lot of them with bad designs.

The case the the T3 is actually well designed. The handles are strategically located - there are worse places they could be. The inside foam is contoured to the unit and holds it in place during transit, which you want in a non-rectangular unit trust me. And the wheels are a bonus.

When playing it live, I place a wedge under the back of the base that tilts the T3 towards me. It does make it a little less awkward.

Ive moved mine around the studio plenty, lol, though definately not my instrument of choise or appropriate for the gigs Ive been known to play either.

Wedge... that's a good recommendation. Likely better to get used to a slightly modified orientation than to drag it out of the case each time.

Followup question: is the Taurus 'anchored' in anyway, or does it simply sit on the bottom of the case with it's own weight, then is wedged in place by foam and the remainder of the cover?

I assume that there is adequate clearance to attach audio cable without have to lift it out?

Yes, the T3 sits flush on the lid and is not recessed. The panel is very accessable.
