New Voyager Presets

Post by GregAE » Wed Mar 16, 2005 9:39 am

A question for the folks at MoogMusic:

According to the description, the Electric Blue edition of the Voyager has (some) new presets. Will these presets be made available to owners of Signature, Performer and AE editions?

Cheers!

Greg

if they're anything like the other celebrity or moogs own presets they can keep em!
They did the voyager a massive injustice imo.

2nd that. Most of the presets I went through didn't even take advantage of the Touch Surface programming leaving them on their default settings.

I'm sure the new presets will find their way on here somehow.

The main question is, whether you'd want a bank full of weird noises, or one with unique sounds that can be used musically?

Speaking of presets, I recently started to play with the genetics part of the moog librarian app. I regret having ignored it for so long since it turns out to produce some really cool sounds. I get in a rut making my own presets sometimes - some of these combinations showed me stuff I didn't know the voyager could do. Nice feature.

Yeah, the librarian app is really cool. The genetics often spawn whacked out, even unusable sounds (still, they're cool for listening to) and even no sound at all but I've gotten some nice classic stuff as well that sound nothing like any of the presets, that's for sure. I enjoy putting classic and semi-classic patches together with previous freak-out patches created by the random function and then randomizing again. Madness!
