LP at Glastonbury

Post by odavy » Sun Jun 27, 2010 6:47 am

Pretty sure I saw footage of Dean Fertita from The Dead Weather playing a little phatty on stage at Glastonbury yesterday...

Makes a change for us LP owners to see our beloved on the TV, you voyager owners get all the limelight

Any other summer festival LP sightings so far?

I saw one on stage at a Matisyahu show in May. The real sad part, I did not see it touched nor did I here it in the mix.

Presets are a great diving board in to the depths of the LP. But you don't win medals by just standing on the diving board. 8)

I saw an LP in Page McConnell's rig at a Phish show last fall and saw one set up in front of the bassist for Matisyahu this past May. I am pretty sure I heard the LP during the Phish show, lots of boards in his rig though. It had a custom LED color scheme. I can't remember for certain, but I think it was a tribute -> wood ends, blue wheels, but with a stages red and yellow buttons. At the Matisyahu show the LP was set up purely as EYE CANDY! It was not touched or triggered remotely. Nothing was plugged into the audio in; so, it was not being used as a filter. I am not sure if it's just used for a song or two and they just didn't go there. But, they had a backing track so I would assume the set list was predetermined.

Hey, those presets are like my children! They're all beautiful in my eyes.

But that's ok, you're allowed (nay, required in some circles!) to dismiss them. All's good...

On a side note, next year is some major anniversary for Glasto, isn't it? Would love to be there myself.
