Moogists,
I am trying to modulate MVK Oscillator 3 volume. I want to fade in (from nothing) oscillator 3 using the mod wheel or a pedal. I have tried every combination of oscillator 3 volume and shaping offsets using the programmable mod destinations. I have bee able to reduce osc 3's volume but not bring it up for zero with modulation.
I am using V 3.4 OS
Can someone explain if it is possible and maybe point out what I am missing. (And I did search for old posts.I did not find a satisfactory answer). Or point to a preset that does this. I want to bring in an interval - like a major 3rd, etc... - with a controller.
Thank You,
Lama

Re: Modulating Oscillator Volume
Use Pot-Mapping.
Source: Mod-wheel
Destination: Osc. 3 Level

keep on turning these Moog knobs

Re: Modulating Oscillator Volume
If you want you can try AM with this technique, which is very interesting!
As our math teacher showed us, modulating the volume of an oscillator brings up two side frequencies above and under the carrier frequency. The distance between the carrierfrequency and sidefrequency is exactly the frequency of the modulation source.
I couldn't trust in mathematics until i tried AM on the voyager. Give it a try, it's very impressive!
