OS UPGRADE FOR LITTLE PHATTY

Post by ASUM » Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:12 am

Hello Moog folk, Im new to moog and have just picked up a fab Moog little phatty tribute edition. Im located in the north of england and wondered where i can get the os 2 upgrade to my little phatty as I understand it needs a tech? The current os version installed in my little phatty is 1.04. Any help would be much appreciated including advice on if its worth updating to os2 and any general tips on getting the best out of the lp, kind regards and thanks

HHB in London can do the upgrade... Hammond Hire Svc is slightly farther north (Midlands somewhere I think) and certainly have the skills to do it although I don't know if they've done any thus far.

Tips for getting the best of it... tweak every parameter! Listen and learn how they interact, and it will become faster and easier for you to shape the sound into just the character you need for your music in the moment. The best thing about tweakable analogue synthesis is that you are never stuck with a preset sound while you are playing... you can always shape and mold it to fit with the music, to become your unique voice. If you stumble upon something truly epic-sounding, you can hit "STORE" and call it up again the next time you need it. Best of both worlds.

Cheers,

Amos
