audio bleeds through amp even if volume is 0

so i have a crappy behringer amp the ultratone and when i turn it up to jam i can hear the the patch the voyagers set to even if its turned all the way down to 0. at first i though it was ground hum then i relized it was the same tone as the patch it was set to. anyone ever experience this in there recordings? any guidance guys?
