MF-105M MIDI-MuRF: hidden feature!

Post by Amos » Thu Feb 18, 2010 11:32 pm

Hi gang,

Want to hear something cool?
Send MIDI CC #0 (zero), value 127 to the MIDI MuRF,
and it will put the Envelope into "glitch mode."
Adjust the Envelope parameter and interesting sonic chaos will ensue.
CC#0, any other value than 127 will set it back to normal.

Enjoy!

i can't achieve that hidden feature, i mostly work with live, the cc#0 is supposed to be channel pressure( am i right?), but i don't hear any differences when i send value 127 to channel pressure!!(no differences when playing the enveloppe, can't hear that glitch)
i'm probably wrong with channel pressure= cc#0

Hi darkdistracions,

You are indeed right about being wrong. Channel Pressure has its own
unique type of MIDI Message and is not categorized as a "Continuous
Controller" (CC) at all. CC#0 = Bank Change.

if you're messing with Glitch mode, I find it sounds best with a slow Rate so you have time to hear all the weird bouncy envelope chunks as they unfold. :)
