How To backup current patches prior to upgrading to OS 2.5

Post by OddMeter » Mon Feb 21, 2005 6:48 pm

:o Help,
I have a DILEMA... I have modified quite a few patches on my Vogayer
and would like to know how can I store my patches before I upgrade
to OS 2.5 -

I'd like purchase the editor but as I understand Vogayer needs
2.5 to work. So how do I get around this problem.

What software utility are people using to upgrade the version of code on their Voyagers these days?

Any help or pitfalls to avoid will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How to backup patches

Hi
I found the most useful freeware application in the world on osxaudio.com
It's called SysEx Librarian. It allows you to record sysex from any instrument with sysex out, to play sysex files into any instrument that can receive, and acts as a permanent librarian for all of your sysex files. All you have to do is download sysex info and open it from the file itself. It automatically opens the Librarian app and stores the file in it. The program could'nt be easier to use. I have used it with my Voyager AE sucessfully for both sending and receiving.
Look for it on the OSX website by using the index on the left of the homepage and find it under midi utilities heading.
