And yes, it would be awesome to own a Moog rocket powered analog synth!

There used to be a picture of Bill on that wiki entry and he was almost a spitting image of him, minus the glasses. He had the same shaped face and the same type of hair, just not necessarily the Doc Brown scientist look.

don't worry, i work allot with English talking people, and it is a common lapse (niko, nikolas, nikol...

I would rather avoid comparation of this two synths, cause I haven't heard andromeda live and I don't own voyager. I could compare LP and juno 60 (or microkorg:) and that's about it.

edit:

but than again from what I've heard on you tube I prefer voyager. also I prefer LP over juno 60, still, I'm absolutely satisfiet with both synts. but I don't play microkorg anymore

I hear ya on that. I have'nt touched my microkorg since I bought my LP. It just waistes space now.

i needed arpeggio today, and since my juno doesn't have midi, i was feeding juno's clock in with some snare sound from mpc sampler instead. so what i finally got, was kind of random arpeggio which didn't fit quite well

and THAN i pull my microkorg out from a dusty old bag, good old microkorg, i thought, he got midi! I' ll use him instead!
yea, right ! the sound..., i couldn't come even close to sweet juno sound, no chance!

so i gave up and i decided to use messy arp coming out from juno.
it is messy, but steel sounds nice and space

i did found some room for microkorg in the end,it is some cold space i'm talking about, but i was really trying man! i somehow feel sorry for little buger

Haha I know.. I still have it out on a desk, with some papers on top of it or something... It just makes me sad whenever I look at it.. Honestly, it was my first synth, like it has been many peoples first synth's who were my age... so theres a little bit of sentimental value in it I suppose, but... Whenever I turn it on, I just ask myself why? Why suffer with it when I have 2 Moogs next to me? Hence it stays off haha.

I quite like the LP's arpeggiator. Sad to say it, but even some free soft synth's sit better in my mixes then the microkorg.

When I think of it too... what a bad synth for someone to first learn about synthesis from? The menu's and "screen" to choose from are so cluttered and complicated... whats with the green print on the side? It took me forever to figure out this thing before I knew anything about synths haha.

You wanna know whats gross? I got my banshee in a pawn shop and all I did was give the tube an alcohol bath.

Your right. That is gross.

My microkorg was my first synth. Hence it earns a spot in my signature. Not to mention, I still own it, and I just put whatever gear I own in my signature. Dissed or not, it stays.

I thought I would let this thread rest for a while, but I finally decided to revive it just a little bit. So... speaking of polyphony, late-1950's style... here's the Estey AS-1, designed (by Harald Bode) and built right here in my home state of Vermont.

I recently met one of the people who helped bring this thing to life. And how, I asked him, did you handle the polyphony? One oscillator per key! And it was all done with tubes.

And let's not forgot it also has pedals

Same place. The electronic organ is in the same museum as the pipe organ. The electronic AS-1 will be worked on later this spring. It's still functional now, but one of the original techs who built it will be reconditioning it a bit. When it's "on the table" and opened up, I'll get some pics and post them here on a different thread.
