Slaving the Taurus to LP

Post by HB3 » Sun Feb 14, 2010 9:24 pm

Hooked the LP up to the Taurus and it's really cool. Except...

I was using the LP arp and sort of mucking about in the LP advanced menu options -- twice, the LP froze up, the second time giving me a "fatal keyboard" error. I think this was when I was messing with the clock settings.

yes, unfortunately so. Quick fix is to set Arp Clock Source to INT or MIDI for that preset and save the preset after making this change.

Less-quick fix is for me to fix this bug already... but I am still working my way back to the LP firmware; there is a lot to do in the meantime. I suspect it won't be until after the Musikmesse that I can get to it.

Cheers,

Amos

Did the opposite today - I midi'd my drum machine to the T-3 midi input, then sent T-3 midi out to the LP. The tempo of all 3 machines was set from the drum machine, and the arpeggiator pattern was from the T-3. Used the "BullAcidTest" T-3 patch for the low end, and then scrolled through Phatty presets, listening in awe to each combo. Literally evaporated time, and made 2 hours feel like 5 minutes... Moog doesn't just make synths, they build time machines!
