I'm a little confused in the meantime about the availability of a Voyager Old School. Is this instrument still manufactured or is it already discontinued?
Many thanks in advance for a clarification in that matter.

Discontinued. An outstanding synthesizer that did not met commercial success enough to make it viable, it seems. Go figure, a better than model D minimoog overall (if a tiny bit less vintage sounding).
They announced producing a last batch of 200 a long time ago, these took a long time to sell. Even if advertised, check for availability. Very few remaining.
I am glad I seized the opportunity, it's my pride and joy.

The math is a little more involved than that:tript wrote:Old School sound > Voyager w/midi sound?
Old School = (Voyager - (midi + additional modulation features + keyboard transpose))
Therefore...
Old School = Voyager re: sound
Old School < Voyager re: functionality
Old School ~ Voyager re: synth mojo
Class is over. Please read and complete all examples on pages 1 through 10 in the Old School Patch Book for Monday.
There may be a pop quiz!
Have a nice weekend!

I would print out the page from nova musik advertising it for $1899, and ask them why you should pay a grand more to buy it from them. And see if they will price match. And make sure they include tax into the price match. Any time I bring in an internet ad I tell them there is no taxes and shipping is free.peterkadar wrote:DAMN!! They have one in Canada at my local store, but it's like $2895!!
