MF-101 as instument

Post by rossf » Fri Feb 12, 2010 4:05 pm

Hello,I use my MF-101 as a sine sourse quite often in a semi modular set up and I was wondering if it's possible to callibrate the cut off response so it will play 1 volt per octave just like the MF-107 does? I get sick of having to use attenuaters and more cords just to get it to play in tune. Would this affect the MF-101's performance at a lowpass filter?
Cheers

If you're asking if it's possible to mod your 101, the answer is probably yes, but it depends on how adept you are at electronics.

As the 101 isn't designed specifically to be used as an oscillator, your current approach of attenuators etc. is the right way to go about it. The 101 also has no temperature compensation, so the tracking may not remain constant anyway.
