Lets hear your weirdest, craziest sounds from the LP

Post by anoteoftruth » Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:03 pm

Hey guys,

Just thought of starting something fun. I'm curious to see what kind of crazy sounds everyone is coming up with? I seen the thread for "songs with the LP" but I think it'd be cool to have a threat for all the weird sounds, effects, blips and things we come up with with the LP. I'll add some to start things off when I get home from work!

My LP is a master fart machine as I am sure most of yours are as well. I've got a bubbling fat/deep fat fryer sounds thats greazier than pomade. I haven't move it over to my computer yet. I'll get it up on knob tweakers when I do.

thanks!

I know I said I'd get some up last night, but my Laptop's hard drive fried and now I'm pretty much out a laptop. I could put some badly recorded sounds up but I dont know if it'd be worth it yet :/

But I'll put some up as soon as I can!

(this seemed like a great idea while I was at work. On top of that I lost about 20 songs I was working on, and all the masterfiles :/)

Commiserations. When I last moved house I plugged an external USB drive in using the power supply from another drive. It melted the drive and I lost nearly ten years worth of recordings. Needless to say, I'm a little more careful about keeping back ups these days, but it is still tricky to keep up with them I find.

Ouch. I feel your pain. It's such a hassle, I've had this computer for about 5 years now. All the music I've made in the last 5 years was on there, including all of my setups etc. Pictures, I did photography too, thats all gone.

I know I should've backed things up but.. I didnt expect it to happen so suddenly. Nothing showed any signs of being wrong, then all the sudden everything just froze for about 5 minutes straight not moving... i waited a bit, nothing.. powered it down, turned it back on and the hard drive was damaged and unrecognized.

At least it's a lesson, next computer I get, will be bought with an additional external HD to back it all up.
