MOOG USELESS. HELP!!!

Post by angrymoog » Mon Jan 18, 2010 6:43 pm

So my Little Phatty SE has been slipping out of tune, and the modulator and both OSC's are controlling themselves at random making the keyboard completely impossible to play. Have tried calibrating everything and it didn't help. I thought a firmware update would help, but when I go to my MASTER menu, the "Update FW" command is gone. Even tried the magic "hold down CURSOR + ENTER + OCTAVE DOWN buttons while turning on the power; keep holding these buttons until the boot-up sequence begins.
This should boot into "hidden mode"
normally used for factory setup only " and that didn't work either. So now I have a show tomorrow and a useless Moog. Can you help me?!!! Currently on OS 2.1 576

Won't get many nice replies putting the words "Moog" and "Useless" together here.

if you have a serious issue or defective unit, contact Moog.

Yeah, contact moog, sounds serious. Is it under warranty?

how was it? Maybe you should have contacted moog instead of asking someone to do it, also, piece of suggestion, people here
can be a great help, maybe it’s better not to put so much emotion on your title to gather the most help you could get.

lizgoode..

Totally agree. A simple "LP having issues" or a title that says whats having wrong with it... would've got a lot more attention/ feedback and help.

When I first got my LP, I posted a note on here labelled "Little Phatty Defective?" because it came with a peice of tape on it with "defective" written on it.

Well I got a TON of help and feedback, and some insight from Amos himself. Turned out it was just a packing error, and the Moog works perfectly till this day.. but they extinguished any weird feelings I had when I first was surprised with it.

Again.. people here will help you out till you find a solution to your problem, but calling a Moog useless won't get you very far.
