Memory Moog Repair
Memory Moog Repair
Hey there...
New to this forum. I have a late serial number Memory Moog Plus with factory midi that's in need of repair. I"ve also got the shop manuals. Where on the west coast can I find someone that services these? I'm in northern california.
THANKS!

Good question...Kevin Lightner stopped servicing those something like five years ago. Other shops, too. From what I understand, there's so much to go wrong in those, that once you get started on one problem, a ton of other problems appear.
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

While Mike Bucki is not on the West coast. I can personally recommend
Mike as a technician. Mike has worked on several of my Moogs for several years. I've found him to be honest and straight forward. I have never found Mike's prices out of line.
While it would make more sense to find a West coast technician, Mike is a very good alternative
Google Mike Bucki...Just trying to be helpful. Feel free to contact me if
necessary.

Wess Taggart, if you want to ship it to Ohio
email: flattop@suite224.net
He fixed mine many years ago. He's one of the few techs out there that aren't scared to work on a memorymoog. BUT... It will cost you!
Good Luck

It's true that there really aren't that many techs who will work on a Memorymoog. I looked for someone here in California but I couldn't find one.
I recommend Gerry Dahl in Minnesota. He did a fantastic job on my Memorymoog. His prices are reasonable.
Gerry can be reached at moogrepair@hotmail.com
Kirt, I'm in northern Cali also (Bay Area actually) and shipping through FedEx was about $140 each way.
Good luck.
