A sampler will work, but then one simply has a polyphonic keyboard, not a synth, as the voice is fixed.

Also, many samplers change the pitch by playing the sample faster, resulting in differing envelope times.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

CZ Rider has the awesomest gear ever.

I seem to remember a photoshopped version of the LP with 5 octaves. I think an engine closer to the LP, with maybe a sub osc and a multi mode filter would be the way to go. Plus, the interface would be cheaper with the multi function knobs. In practice, I don't find it to be a big problem expressing myself on the Phatty. Thoughts??
