Ship date...

Post by wolf2112 » Sun Dec 06, 2009 7:44 am

I just heard from my music store - I'm getting the 33rd unit (out of 250 total) coming to Canada. They expect to have mine in the store by the second week of January... yeah, baby!!!
Just curious, but does anyone else have Roland PK-5's (or an equivalent) and are you keeping yours or selling them when your T3's arrive?

I am probably going to keep the PK-5s at a studio that I record at occasionally on the east coast - I live in California - and keep the Taurus III with me.

I own a set of PK-5s, but I don't think I'll sell them. They should come in handy as a home/practice set when the T-3s arrive, and also as a 2nd octave and/or remote set on stage. I do plan on selling my JP-8000 though, in order to help pay for a Little Phatty Solar Edition.

I sold my Pk-5s about a year ago. Truth to tell, I never used them much.

I spoke to Mike Adams a few days ago and he said they're still waiting for parts, but the first few units should hopefully go out end of December/beginning of next year. I'm hoping mine will be among the first shipped, since I preordered about five minutes after the announcement was made...

I've thought about PK5's a few times, but then I heard about the Taurus 3, so I didn't go for it. If I were to get another set of pedals, they'd be larger ones for organ bass practice.

I'll be using my T3's both for bone crushing bass and drones, and to trigger samples from my Korg M3m when my hands are too busy.

The Taurus III will be my first foray into the world of foot controlled synthesis...so no.
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

it's like "have you ever tried sugar or PCP"?

I own Taurus 1s, PK5s and will have the Taurus 3
and will sue all.
PK5 near my guitar FX rig next to the Taurus 3 at my Bass FX rig
Taurus 1 under my keyboards.

So MIDI everywhere, deep bass everywhere whether I'm playing bass guitar, guitar, keys or any of the other things I play live.

uh, Yes and no, respectively. Does that mean I should pick undecided? LOL

I couldn't change it in the poll, but it should be if you own a set of PK-5's (or Korg whatever) and have ordered a set of T3's, are you selling them when your T3's arrive.
