The Rogue is more of a 'real' Moog than the MG-1. The only advantage of the MG-1 is the basic polyphony section, but don't go and get the idea that it's a polysynth!!

buy which ever one is cleaner. i played a recently serviced rogue and a poor condition mg-1, the rogue of course blew the realistic away. if it were the other way around, i would've favored the mg. just make sure whatever you're buying is in good condition, or is cheap enough that you can rationalize paying for maintenance later on.

i have and mg1 and i love it, i've only ever played a liberation, and a memory moog.

the liberation is too heavy, those guys from devo must have worked out or something.

i love my mg1, the only thing it doesn't do that i'd like is arpeggiate.

it makes all the classic filtered sounds and has nice glide.
my theremin makes my cat chase his tail.
