my thoughts exactly.

i think it's great that Moog has the 31 flavours of V'ger ... the constant repackaging is something you will cherish in 30 years' time.

i'm pretty stoked about this new synth, though i'm curious as to what it looks like.

$2195? Ouch. That's a bit more than I was expecting. Still, it looks very nice...

It looks as though it may have a backlit front panel, though there appears to be no dimmer knob. Perhaps I'm just being fanciful!

Congratulations!
Very nice designed and for sure it makes me feel to get one,...but i already got a voyager signature edt. and if i am honest, i don't need a second voice. But the idea to use the Rack also as a desktop is very nice ( and the backlit pannel still makes me nervous ). Isn't this the first Racksynth from Moog?

yeah it is the first rack synth from moog as far as i am aware. congratulations moog! design looks great. i reckon they'll sell a lot of these. studio electronics must be worried! now i would love moog to continue developing more exciting products, particularly a new poly along the lines of the memorymoog/prophet 5/jupiter8 (unless of course they are going to launch one at namm??).with dave smith releasing the poly evolver keyboard i think moog will have to build one soon even though bob said they arent going to. all analogue synth companies should really be building polysynths. if they dont they are missing a massive potential market.

That price is crazy. You can get a performer for that price. I'd figure that minus keyboard and touch surface would equal less money, although it does have the backlights. Still that means that a four voice voyager would cost more than 8 grand.

...well, compared to the keyboardversion the price is o.k., i guess.
the perfourmer don't got memory, but you are right, in this price range you got some choices to think of. Cwejman S1 MKII, Macbeth MX3 or M5, or a some real moduls of an modular system! These also doesn't got memory which is difficult in live-situation. There are some other analog monosynths like the evolver or the Synth2 from MFB which cost you just a quarter of the Rack, but they do not have the CV's - Options which make this moog so special. It is not cheap to build a real analog synth with memory!

Hi Stefan!

What do you mean with “the performer don't got memory”? All the Voyagers has memory...

Kind regards
