voyager ae high pitch tone with backlights

Post by letterpeopleshow » Fri Jan 07, 2005 9:59 am

anyone notice a high pitch tone emitted when the backlights on the board are on? is there anything that can be done about it other than keeping the lights dimmed?

hi there, this has been covered b4 but its a common problem with all the backlit voyagers.when i got mine i thought it was damaged but its nothing to worry about. it doesnt show at the audio outs and is just transformer whine.its not recommended to use the light on full as it seriously degrades the lifespan of the light. just turn the light down to half and it should be at an acceptable level.you could certainly run the light on full on stage where you would not hear the noise as much as in a quiet studio environment. :D
