Hold on there professor....do you mean to tell me that "Fly On A Windshield" did not incorporate bass pedals? I was fortunate to have seen The Lamb performed and took photos. I looked at them again tonight and I can swear that I seed a set at Rutheford's feet. Was Tony Banks providing those ultra low frequencies? If so, on what? Please tell me how you know that the T1 did not make it's appearance until later. I just want to be well informed is all. Thanks,

Genesis "classic" recordings often featured simultaneous 12 string guitar and Dewtron "Mister Bassman" bass pedal synthesiser playing by Rutherford.

Gabriel left in 1975.

Taurus Is didn't appear until 1976.

I did know about the Mister Bassman and the reference to Rutuerford and Genesis but thought that the T1 made it's entrace on The Lamb. Seeing the production dates for the T1 in the Wiki link you provided clinched it for me. I was incorrect all these years. Dang. Thanks for the accurate information. Now the Mister Bassman has really peaked my curiosity. They've got a pretty kick ass note to them.

From what it sounds like there will only be 1000 t3's and that's it. I doubt they will make anymore than that being that they won't be that huge of a demand for them. I think they made this one for the hardcore synth heads. Instant classic.

You bet your money its going to get awards, and the prices on ebay are going to go up once all the dealers run out.

Now, what percentage of this limited run do you think will be bought up by professional, well established recording artists before the average consumer has a shot? How popular will this be with the big names? I just can't help but think that 1000 will not be enough. All of that R&D time for only that small of a run.

You will probably see some of those people order two or three sets, but I think Moog picked the number 1000 for a great reason. I mean, I onlyt pretend to have an idea about Moog Marketing strategy, but they KNOW who their clients are, and they obviously know OUR demands. Were on here every day telling them how to do their jobs, lol.

They said on the Taurus page that they have had numerous request from their best customers about a reissue, so Im sure that they picked the 1000 number to answer those requests and to give us a chance.

Look, Its not like you need to fear the prospect of never seeing one of these puppies. Some people bought them specifically for ebay. Sweetwater still has them for sale. I don't think they have already been sold out, but once the pictures come out, once it appears at NAMM, once they roll in a pallett full of awards and praises, they will be scarce.

But really its a small niche. It just doesn't seem small to us because we are here surronded by people who share our interests and desires for products. Go out into the real world and explain to your guitarist friend what Moog is and how this synth is a reissue of a Legendary vintage synth and they won't really grasp the enormity of what you are saying.

I think with this company, you just have to give them time. Let them delay the pedals as long as they have to so they will be perfect when they get here. Let them build this and fund R&D for the many great products that we don't know we need yet.

In the meantime I sort of developed what I call a poor man's bass pedal. I use an EBow on my guitar and drop the note two octaves using a Whammy. The result is actually pretty decent.

If you can get to this link on MyPodcast and download "Hour of the EBow" you'll be able to hear how it sounds. Just some multi track home recordings on guitar. And if you download "Tower of Babel" you will hear that and the Moogerfooger Ring Mod. You will need some headphones or some decent speakers with lots of good low frequency response.

Yeah like EricK said, let them take as much time as they like! I just went back to school, and I'm so poor right now I can't affort to pay attention, let alone my new Taurus pedals, lol.

Seriously, I remember waiting for my Freq Box, and the wait was so worth it. I'd rather wait another month or two if necessary so that everything is right. There are too many companies that rush products out the door, and it shows. Let Moog remain one of the few, not one of the many.
