He's good, but personally I don't like the Voyager scratch sound.

It sounds fake and cheap.

Its an interesting approach to synthesizers. However, one thing that I like even better is just hooking up a synth to a ring modulator with the mix all the way up and doing the exact same thing just playing rythms riding the Freq knob. It sounds similar AND it lets those who are tweak happy....stay happy.

Only thing....I wish that the Voyagers panel could really be laid flat like that without the stress on the power jacks. It would be just like the Model D then.

Id go flattop if I could.

It looks like the TS is a lot more usable when the panel is flat also.

Agreed. Never played a Voyager myself, but the touch screen seems like it would be more useful flat rather than angled. Great video! :D

Hello,

Moog Music could source a set of rubber feet/stops that are a bit longer and larger than the existing ones in the bay,
to raise the panel just enough for the cables to clear the bacl edge of the instrument. This can also be done as an individually.
Someone else raised the idea on this forum some time ago.

Regards,

Lawrence

I never really thought about the touchpad being more accessable. I guess that might very well be true. I rarely use my touchpad though, I guess im scared ill scratch it. AND I don't use my Vx351 much either because I really don't have enough modular style stuff to connect like that or the trs cables..

Id get some longer feet though.

But seriously folks, scratching with the Ring Mod is much more fun, its like using the ringmod like you woudl use a filter.

I do this technique on the song "Delayed Notification" though I don't think it was intended to be an accurate of a reproduction of vinyl as the Moogist's was.
