Alternative Expression Pedals?
Alternative Expression Pedals?
Does anyone know what other expression pedals work with Moogerfoogers? For example, will the Yamaha FC7, or the Korg EXP2 work appropriately? I ask because I can often find used controllers at a discount. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I dont know about the Korg, but the Yamaha FC7 is not scaled properly for use with 'foogers, and therefor all of the adjustment occurs in the first 15% of the FC7's physical sweep (starting at heel down). If I remember correctly, this is due to the FC-7's volume taper plug, whereas the others are linear taper, or different pot values or something like that... either way, no bueno.
Other than the various Moog controllers, I've had luck with an Alesis F2, Maudio Mgear EXP, and a Roland EV-5.

No problem. I should mention that the Alesis was the nicest of the bunch, but they have been discontinued- I found mine used. The other two are cheap plastic that are pretty cheap new; not the best around but they get the job done- I think the Roland is a little nicer than the Maudio pedal. Good luck with your search.
