Just turned on my little phatty stage II today (first time in about a 5 days) and all i get is a blank white LCD screen , no sound comes out of it when i press the keyboard and no lights come on when i press various buttons.
The modulation/oscillators/filter/envelope generator lights are on but don't move when i turn a knob.
i must of turned the phatty on and off about 20 times now hoping it boots up ok but no luck
Anybody had this problem before ? , is my Phatty broke (obviously it is lol) ..... is there a fix ?

yikes. contact Moog, see if this will require repair. their rates are very reasonable if they actually need to do work, but this might be something you can fix w/ instruction via email.

Does anybody know if the Little Phatty stage II contains an internal battery to remember Presets etc ? I can't find any info in the manual , I'm just clutching at straws here & wondering if maybe the battery is dead ?

I don't think theres any internal bettery persay...if there was, there would be no need for the software.
If a system reset could be done those are the only presets that it woudl remember.

Don't know about the battery but I had an idea. You may have already tried this but have you tried via the software editor to update the os? I am guessing you probably have but was just an idea. For some unknown reason I am wondering if a midi cable not USB would aid this update? clutching at straws too but if all else fails write a mail to customer support maybe it's still under warentee. There must be a moog dealer up in the north east somewhere (perhaps) Newcastle that could fix the beast for you?good luck all the same . nick

a email i received from amos when inquiring about a suitable repair centre for moogs...
Check
http://www.cimplesolutions.com if you ever need Moog repairs; Cimple Solutions Ltd are our authorised repair centre in the UK, located in London. I think there's a tech in Scotland as well, formerly associated with Sound Control, but I recommend Cimple as they're ace.
hope this helps.

Been speaking to Amos via email , he thought i should try a Debug Adaptor to wipe the Phatty processor and he sent me instructions how to use it , so i bought a Debug Adaptor for £30 and now My little Phatty is 100% fight fit again.
I can't thank you enough Amos
