Backup the Little Phatty...

Post by notteincubo » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:15 am

I have a sequencer roland mc-50, i like to use hardware sequencer but i can't do a backup with the mc. I can only backup one preset at time, noway to send a backup of the system or all the preset.
What do you use for the backup? What software?

It will be cool if Moog develop a little software for this things...

I do my backups in Sonar. It has a separate sysex-section for this, so it's really easy!

And it should not be any problems in sending all the presets from the LP in a bulk dump. In the sysex menu of the LP you only have to move the cursor to the second line and then twist the value knob...
Or is it some kind of problem related to your MC?

Yes, is a problem of the mc-50, it was the same with the micro-korg. I can bulk dump only one preset, if i try to bulk all the preset the mc-50 give me an error.

Ok, I see.
I have often seen people recommend a free program called MIDI-OX (www.midiox.com). It might be worth a try (if you are on windows).
