I must say this machine is beyond fantastic. More later as I recover...

Just got an AE Voyager..... WOW
Yea, me too!
Just got an AE!! I'm going to controll it via my Yamaha WX series wind controller. This is gonna be outragous!
I do have a question though. I've also purchased a VX-351 and a CP251. I would like to rack mount these, and have the connections that are located on the back of the AE connected to a patchbay racked with them. The question is, can an audio patch bay work for the controll and CV stuff, and what type of patch cable should I use? Do I use sheilded or speaker type cable, and does the cable quality make a difference?
As for the patch bay, if I connect the cables from the back of the Mini to the patchbay, do I need somthing plugged in to it, or will it work "passive" as if no cable was plugged into the Mini when there is no cannection at the other end of the patch bay??
can't wait till I get a few more weeks and months into this project!

some of the moogerfoogers and perhaps the cp251 ( i dont recall right now) use powered cv-ins, enabling you to have passive cv-controllers (such as the ep1). using monotele in one of the sockets shorts this power out disabling you from using it in any other, therefore its better to use stereoteles (balanced, trs) and stereopatchbay.
i got some foogers and didnt like the fact that the sockets were on the backside. thought about buying a patchbay but it was so much fuzz connecting and naming all the ins and out i ended up just turning the foogers around with their sockets facing me. easier to connect and tweaking the knobs upsidedown doesnt bother me that much.
