What aspect are you havin a problem with?

I also use a fasttrack pro and ableton.. it should be straight forward.. I just run a 1/4 inch jack from the headphone output to line 1 or 2 of the fastrack.. in preferences just make sure your audio in is set to the fasttrack pro.. not much to say after that!

If you are recording the LP on a MIDI track and you want more than one track then yes, you need to record it as AUDIO instead.

Ableton has a great manual and their online help talks alot about how to make the best of the various capabilities, etc.

I don't get it.. if you want 2 sounds on the LP, it's monophonic/non-timbral so you would have to record 2 different audio tracks.

Why would you run from your headphone output instead of audio out?
