Sounds like a trivial thing to lose a friend over.

Anyway, right out of the box the tetra is awesome! I got mine cheaper than $800 so it was even more worth it. I'm mostly going to use it with a roland pk-5. So monophonic could have been good, 4Xmultitimberal monophonic is AMAZING! Plus it has sub oscillators that the Prophet 08 doesn't. So I can do Taurus like things, but even more involved.

I'm a knob lover just like everyone else, but I'm totally over it with this synth. It's EXACTLY what I need and the sounds coming out of it are SICK!! The editor is easy to use. I'll be designing sounds at home anyway and just performing them when I play live.

Get over it guys, this synth rocks. It sounds amazing and is very unique.

Between DSI and MOOG, that's all tthe analog I need in life! Both companies are doing great things. In the digital world, it's Nord. I'm eyeballing a Wave real hard.

Get a Tetra. 8)

I didn't really lose any friends over it, but it was a pretty heated debate in our circle of gear loving nerdy folk.

I am glad you like it and it has some depth.

I am just as excited to try out the new Midi MuRF when it arrives tomorrow. I will be using AbleTron Live to put it through the ringer and really test out it's abilities. Is it bad that I already made a cheat sheet word doc that has a list of all the CC's and note#s?
MemoryMoog Plus (with Kenton Midi Upgrade Kit) MF-101 Lowpass Filter, MF-102 Ring Mod, MF-103 Stage Phaser, MF104M Delay, MF-105M MIDI MuRF, MF-107 Freq Box, MF-108M ClusterFlux and CP-251 Control Processor.

I'd probably make a word doc with all the MIDI CC's and note numbers as well if I had a M-MuRF on the way. So, no, that's not a bad thing.
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

DSI Tetra

All I want to add to this discussion is ..........I have a Mopho and I am going to own the Tetra. Dave's products sound great and offer deep programming options. They also add great sounds to my Red Square Modular and Moogerfooger rig. :!:

I spent the whole day with the Tetra and I can't be more pleased. Best purchase I've made in a couple years.

I wish I bought mine from Guitar Center because they have it on sale for $640 until the end of august. But only if you order it by phone. Actually they have 20% off all products over $499 if you order by phone. I'm tempted to buy a nord wave since it will be $480 off.

20% off is a bad thing you have G.A.S.

Off topic, is there a good DSI message board to share info and patches?

Yea colorform 2113. Call them tomorrow if you don't believe it. I need more money so I can get the Nord Wave.

Or how about over $600 off the Voyager?

G.A.S. sucks.

No I didn't call guitar center yet. I want to figure out what I can sell that I don't need so I don't have to spend money. Lol
