Has anybody found a way to fix the noise bug in the Tribute edition? I'm not happy with the software workaround in 1.04 version.
Does the official 2.1 upgrade make the noise more subtle?
I've opened up my phatty a couple of times and I've made some observations but found no easy fix yet

From the 2.1 Update spec page:
• New hardware will also be added improving the signal to noise ratio of all CV's including the Envelope Generator Matrix.

I've not noticed the noise yet, but then again, too much rock n roll has affected my hearing.

I have upgraded mine and can still hear the noise. Not sure if it's more subtle than before, but maybe.
I'm not too happy with auto mode either. Somewhat difficult to change between parameters with one hand.

Obviously there were two noise problems with the TE. I had missed that completely when I left my LPTE for hw-upgrade. The noise was there when I got it back. The noise problem that was fixed with the upgrade was one I never heard, the noise I wanted to be fixed wasn't. So I was a bit disappointed ...
The auto-mode works ok, but it is not a good solution. It's tricky to push the button and tweek the knob at the same time with one hand. It often happens that the button-pushing "doesn't work" (or maybe I don't press it hard enough - whatever - I actually don't know which). But you don't know that before you tweek the knob, and if it doesn't work you instead change the parameter that it is already set on. Which be something you don't want to chang at all.
It's really not a good solution, even if it technically works.
Still, I think the hw-upgrade was worth it. OS2 with the LFO snc etc adds functionality I wouldn't like to be without.

I was starting to think I was the only one who can hear the noises. Adjusting the egr amount makes the irritating digital sounding aliasing sound that all of the egr parameters makes too.
At first egr auto seemed like a brilliant fix. But it only works right half the time. I have gone through phases of not touching the egr cause it makes me so mad, but the lp isn't much of a synth without the use of the envelope parameters. Ya editing with egr auto when egr auto isn't working makes me feel like i am an idiot for buying a new product from Moog. Kind of like I payed for the r&d for everyone who got the cheaper and improved stage model. Which we were told at the time would not be able to compare to the tribute. At least I didn't buy a 7 thousand dollar guitar and have it become a less ugly three thousand dollar guitar in not very much time. Its why I didn't rush out and buy the multipedal. I will not be another lab rat new product tester for Moog and not only not get paid for it but pay more until the working correctly version comes out. I should have bought a voyager. That is the synth that was Bob's last complete vision made complete by the man himself. To think I actually thought the tribute would be a collectors item. Now I dont even care it was one of 1200, I just want all of it to work. If there wans't so much to like I wouldn't bother to worry about the lp, it would be gone and id have an XS. The Tribute is like a pretty girl that treats you bad. Even though it pisses you off it still looks good naked. Wait thats not what I meant.
