ARP & CP-251 ?

Post by square » Thu Nov 18, 2004 12:23 pm

I have an Arp Odyssey and was wondering if it was possible to use the CP to send CV to the Arp? And if so does anyone know where I can find a cable (im sure I could make one but my craftiness isn't the greatest) to convert from 1/8" to 1/4"?
and any other pointers on doing this would help
thanks!!!

I take it you plugged it into the CV IN on the Odyssey...correct? Try the LFO from the CP-251 plugged into the Odyssey this way...play a note, anything?

I don't think you can use the Gate/Trigger In on the odyssey as they require an +8 V minimum and the CP-251 isn't cable of this.

I do not have an Odyssey, but can say that this does work with my ARP Axxe III. The 1/8 inch jacks are weak, I have to jiggle the cord in place until it "catches".....perhaps you have the same problem? The sample and hold on my Axxe does not function, so the CP really came to the rescue in this case.
