Filter Cutoff Affecting Tuning on LP

Post by carbohydrate » Tue Jun 02, 2009 4:12 am

:?:

hello phatty brethren and sistren,

i have a problem: when i close the filter on my LP the pitch goes down with the cutoff frequency. when i open the filter it goes back up again and is in tune. has anyone else had this issue?

i have checked that there is no pitch modulation going on with the LFO.. just seems like the filter closing bends the notes down.

suggestions welcome, at this rate i'm going to have to use an external filter if i want my bassline in tune!

...hmm... shots in the dark here. I would go through all of the advanced preset settings, and the rest of the Master pages just to be sure nothing wacked is happening. I'm sure your problem happens on all patches, right?... Did you ever use the Pitch CV input? Ever, say, be using it and pull the cord as you were still playing? Not that that should do anything, but...
How about Pot Mapping? Could the Filter pot be routed to the Osc Pot? Still, I wouldn't expect that in all patches. Hang around, I'm sure you'll get some answers today from the good folks on this forum. jgirv

sounds exactly like a pot mapping problem to me. Did you check to see if the filter section RAC knob is mapped to osc pitch?
