Base,
Nice dp4 graphic.

voyager sucks at sequencing
Hm...I suspected you might be having the same problem I am, and the fact that you are using DP4 confirms it. I tried getting help here, and its tough because so far I think DP itself is causing the issue. In particular, the drum editor. I even asked Moog and all they could tell me was that it isnt supposed to act like that.
I actually sold my first voyager because of it, and purchased another determined to figure it out, and I think I did.
Moog should really add this to a Faq or something, as it is a serious pain in the ass.
Anyway, the problem lies in the DP4 drum editors defaults.
In your editors window when using the pencil tool to enter notes, the free mode quanitze pops up, as well as default velocity and duration. The duration is what needs to be changed. *Every* other synth I have more or less disrgards this function, as in, if I am telling the drum editor to play back 1/16th notes, it just fills that duration for me, stopping for the next note, to retrigger. The Voyager is really picky about it though. For some ungodly reason, when the drum editor is set to its defaults the Voyager seems to think it needs to retrigger multiple notes at the same time, instead of just starting the next note in line. It cant retrigger multiple notes, so, it goes into a coma and just triggers random longer notes, with no predictabilty.
Try setting the duration to 105 or right in that range, then program your basslines.
Mess around with it a bit to get it perfect. For 1/8th notes double the duration.
Again, testing out the different durations will yield what you want.
Interestingly, I got the Nord Lead to pull the same note dropping issue when in mono mode, but not in poly.
I hope this helps.

Triggers fine from MD midimap
The voyager does interface really well with a sequencer that has provision for what you want (for programchange and filtering). Other applications too. I do not know what it is called when these values are picked up by the sequencer. There most likely is a term for this. To save on sequencer space there is an option to turn off prg chg and filtering. I don't believe Machinedrum is layed out for this type of operation. A lack of audio seq (if terminology is correct) Maybe this problematic if you expect to a hear a filter sweep and it does not occur. I don't know about triggering the voyager with Midi, unless your thinking of input machines or mid machines on MD. My voyager did not change settings through a modern seq, but thru an MM-T8 the voyager's modulations, sweeps prm chg and all, were recorded. What is it called when mods can be recorded to a sequencer or filterred out in order to save on memory, speed, or do different mods, in a loop say?
The sequencers you speak of could be better (actually I am not familiar with those sequencers). I do not know why the industry comes up short in areas that would, and does simplify recording to the sequencer, or at least have that option available. Why deny an operation that is the easier solution for recording MIDI? More than that, it is annoying that no clue, controversy or terminology to delineate the two technologies in MIDI recording is available, and has been lacking for a long time, as if it is a trade secret or something. As far as I can tell. A little paranoia for good measure. Perhaps I could be enlightened.
