THat Voyager plus is my favorite picture ever. When I first saw it on squarewave I didn't know anything about modulars. I was like foaming at the mouth. I hate to say that though cause its like looking at someone awesome car...they get this immediate onset disease that leads them to uncontrollable revving of their engines. lolol Happens with bikes too.

That extension to my Voyager was quite a bit of work. Glad you guys like it! Most of the stuff I post in pics are handmade customs. Just about all of it was built with the intention to play it out live. When I look back it is difficult to believe I spent all that time making this stuff? And all the shows these have been in. Here is some photos of that Minimodular being built. All of the middle row panels are hand drilled, painted, labeled, wired by me. I guess I just wanted an awesome looking Moog modular really bad!

Here is an old geocities page with more info on that project:

Just 13 more voices and that particular rig will be at it's full potential. Are you gonna go for it?

Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

I think a four voice would be ideal. Right up there with the original Oberheim Four-voice that used four SEM's. If I find another RME in the $1200 range, I would add the fourth, but that would be it. Any more would be overkill, especially with a 3 1/2 octave keyboard. Still learning it. I'll post a video soon.

There's this really cool thing called MIDI.
They make these controllers with 37, 49, 61, 76, even 88 notes. And they do the MIDI thing.
Hook up a cable from the controller to the Voyagers and WALA! no more 3-1/2 octave limit.
(Unless you adapted the Vince "MIDI is crap" Clark approach...)

MIDI is Life/Life is MIDI
OR
Analog is Life/Life is Analog

either way. MIDI can allow youto do all kinds of things, you don't have to stay all analog all the time. Nothing wrong with either way, but at least give MIDI a chance, you can be as simple or as complex with it as you'd like.

Just the Moog space on the rack:
(I thought MIDI was just to transfer patches!)
