Little Phatty II - Stage. HEEEEELLPPPPP!!!!
Hi.
I'm new aroud here. Hope someone can help me.
My Little Phatty II - Stage with 2.00 OS crashed. I mean the OS crashed, completly. I can't restore factory setings from the menu, becouse menu stops on the 'ANALOG MODE' page. Whenever I try to go further OS crashes. Midi and usb don't work, so i can't upload OS from the computer. It all happend yesterday just like that, when using LP with cubase SX3 as a midi clock master. Already called Moog service in Poland (i live in Poland), but they don't know what the problem might be, it is being chcked with moog now (hope so). Any way my question is: Is there any way to restore factory OS with some buttons combination or some memory sustain battery that i could remove to reset LP's OS?
Please help me. It's my favorite synth, the only analog i have (up to now at least). Got some other Rolands and one KORG, but analog is ...well you know. It's THAT sound.
Best regards
Marek

Master menu should scroll both directions - try going the other way
also - hold down CURSOR + ENTER + OCTAVE DOWN buttons while turning on the power; keep holding these buttons until the boot-up sequence begins.
This should boot into "hidden mode"
normally used for factory setup only
try to use the master menu in this mode
again, don't scroll the menu in the direction that causes a crash, go the other way
and try a RESTORE FACTORY
if you have custom presets you don't want to lose,
maybe email me first (a///0s at m00gmu$ic.c0m)
I can send you an OS installation file...

Amos. Thx for the hint, but...the problem still exists. The combination did take me to hidden menu, but MASTER menu stays the same. For some reason i can't scroll menu in both directions. It was possible before the crash, but now it's imposible nither in MASTER nor PRESET menus.
Tryed to upload OS again, i got the file from moog's web site, using USB. no effect.
Still not working LP.
Any ideas?

Hello,
You are not the only person in the world to have one OS crash!
I 've got the same problem, midi and usb don't work.
Os version was changed from 2.00S to 2.0 530 in system utilities??
It all happened last sunday....

It's the Conficker virus... it's spreading to synthesizers now!
<kidding>
In all seriousness, the thing that needs to happen with these units is to re-load the OS using a debug adaptor to the processor. That's what we're doing for the Polish synth...
Our French distributor, MESI (in Paris) can do this also, although they are waiting for the necessary hardware to arrive. I will contact them to see if we can expedite their receipt of the programming hardware.

Re: Little Phatty II - Stage. HEEEEELLPPPPP!!!!
This might work:
1- restart little phatty
2- press the 'master' button
3- scroll right till your reach 'analog'
4- click on the cursor and turn the value knob
5- The menu sections on the right should display afterwards
6- keep cycling till you reach the utility menu and out firmware update 'on'
I notices that all midi ports I used (midi or USB) didn't work with the firmware updater until I hooked the little phatty to the sound card's midi out.
Now use a sysex editor to send the update to little phatty
Then use the boot loader to install the firmware.
Don't use USB. Midi worked fine.
NOw this worked for me, hopw it works for you.
