One thing that's different is that the RE-20 delay time ramps up or down slowly, like the original tape version. And the feedback effect is supposed to be like the original. Supposedly it's digitally modeled on the original, though it does sound a lot cleaner. I like both!HB3 wrote:Wow, the 201 sounds a lot better. Isn't the new Space Echo just a typical digital delay w/ a new paint job, so to speak?
And I just found this thread in the Voyager forum.
As far as i'm aware there aren't any analog delay units on the market with Midi sync.Najati wrote:Are any of the mentioned analog delays capable of midi sync? Either via MIDI,USB or step a la the MuRFs step input (which plays great with an MP-201). If none of these, are there any analog delays that are? If not analog then digital? Maybe this should be it's own thread ... Thanks!
I'll just say i'm anothe rhappy Electro Harmonix user, i've had some excellent results with the Deluxe Memory Man and my Little Phatty. Another good pedal that comes to mind is the Malekko Heavy Industry Echo 600, it's available in a Bright and Dark version (there are Echo 300 versions as well if you don't need such a long delay time).
Proguitarshop.com has a really good range of pedals with some good demo videos of most of them > http://www.proguitarshop.com/index.php?CategoryID=18
