I will apologize in advance for venting to the forum. It's been a month since I ordered my Voyager RME. Still no Voyager. I knew it would take some time because my dealer hasn't supplied Moog equipment before. I was told 2 weeks, which seemed long but understandable. Last week I was told it should be here by the end of this week. I know others have ordered and recieved their Voyager since I ordered. As much as I still want one, it is almost annoying enough to call and tell them to send it back when it arrives. I'm assuming most have not had to wait this long. Maybe I will find that there was a reason for the delay. Sorry to rant and thanks for listening.
I financed through the dealer. I have purchased over thirty items from this same place over the last 15 years. I realize there was probably some time involved in setting them up as an authorized Moog dealer. Why it would take a month though seems odd. Since it isn't being delivered to me personally I don't even know if it has been shipped. I assume it has been since the dealer was told it should arrive by the end of this week (of course that didn't happen). Maybe it will be there Monday. Normally things take a week at the most. Since I was told 2 weeks initially and then after the third week told it would be here this week, that contributes to the annoyance. If I had been told it would take a month or more at least I would have known. It is of course harder to be patient when it is something you are really looking forward to. I'm guessing I will see it eventually. I just hope it doesn't happen when I start ordering other Moog products to complement the Voyager. Sorry again for the rant. I had hoped I would be discovering the Voyager by now.
I have to disagree with the comments about going to another dealer. Having a good relationship with a local music dealer is important! I think he was right in giving his local store the opportunity to get what he wanted. Other stores may be able to deliver instantaneous results, but I prefer to give the business to the people I interact with in my local music scene every day.

I see where you are coming from El, I would somewhat agree with that statement. It is definitely cool to support the local store. I would have done the same here, but honestly the music shop here is pretty weak as far as what they decide to carry. Their guitar selection is really weak, and forget about getting any decent synths. So in my case, I suppose I wouldn't really use the music shop for anything more than picking up new strings. I have lived other places with killer local music shops, and if I were still there, I would have stuck it out with them. For now, residing in Northern Utah, I am more apt to deal with somewhere online, or drive down to Salt Lake for my musical needs. I would hope that after waiting so long for that Moog, that the music store would have it soon and maybe hook you up in some way for the inconvenience.

Yeah. Here, we have a couple small music stores, like Music Source, A-Major Music, and one Moog Authorized dealer about 50 miles from my house. Otherwise, we have Sam Ash, where I bought my LP and road case. I'd much rather go through Music Source, as they are the cheapest and second closest from me, but they don't offer Moog. But they have every Washburn guitar, almost every Peavey amp, and a couple of Fender bass amps. They are also one of the few Danelectro dealers that carry the new line of pedals, and even have some NOS Dano pedals.

I understand your position. My comment was directed at the fact that he seems to have a good, long standing relationship with the store already.
