I recently experimented with downloading other people's midi files posted online, and then played them through my Voyager. Since the mmv's monophonic, I found some string quartet pieces done with each part monophonic. I then used Cubase to record each part as an audio track, with each part somewhat appropriately setup in the moog (eg the violins at high octaves, the cello lower, each with different tones etc). Finallly I could play all the audio parts together -- instant Switched On classical!
My quesion is, is there a faster way to do this? Have other people experimented in using prefab midi files?
Thanks
Handling Midi files
Sure, I really just threw this together as a test, so it's nothing great, I didn't spend any time coming up with nice sounds...

Also, this site has traditional tunes, all monophonic - great for ideas:
