After months of waiting, my Stage II arrived today! It sounds spectacular. Plays nice. Overall, I'm quite happy. It seems a little lower in volume than my Voyager, nothing major. I heard people saying they didn't like the keys on the Phatty, but I'm diggin em. Smooth and firm. The wheels are nice too.

I do have two gripes:
1- The volume knob thing other people mentioned. Did anyone get to the bottom of this?
2- I find it a little confusing that the lights around the knobs don't match knob placement. Is this normal? I hope so, I can't take any more gear trouble! LOL!

So far, I'm pretty stoked. The filter overload is outta hand. I'm surprised how different this can sound than my Voayger. Now I REAALLLLY need to get rid some old stuff to buy some Foogers! WOOHOO! :)

OK. Time to RTFM.

Yeah when you load up a preset, the values jump to the programmed value not the actual knob value.

That is probably what you noticed.

I think I hear the mothership coming.

OK, knob thing was a setting I could change. Much easier on the eyes now. LOL!

The manual says I can change presets by pushing the encoder, and this isn't working. I'm thinking there's a setting I have to change there too.

Back to reading.

LOTS of settings can be changed! It's absolutely amazing what they crammed into the menus. I haven't even scratched the surface of OS 2.00 as I had just mastered 1.03B when I uploaded 2.00!

By encoder I'm guessing you mean the "Value" knob. And as far as I know that feature was removed from the Stage 2 edition of the LP, and it now acts as a means to turn the arpeggiator on and off. Which I just love anyway. I think this was mentioned in the additional Stage 2 manual.

Thanks for the post. Yeah, I figured it was something changed in the OS after printing the manuals, but wanted to ask to be sure. Must've gotten carried over from an older manual, as this is certainly the Stage II. I'm only about half way through though.

So far my new baby is good!

If you use Performance Sets (Master Mode) then you can press the value encoder to change presets within a set.
