MoogerFooger Cheek Idea.

Post by EricK » Sat Nov 08, 2008 8:24 pm

I just thought of someting that would be great for those of us with Foogers rackmounted:

I would like to order 2 cheek pieces that will attatch the 3 Foogers togeher. This will eliminate the space on either side of the center mounted Moogerfooger. I also believe that this will make the 3 Foogers easier to mount on the rack unit.

This would serve the same function as the wooden block that connects the cp251 and the vx351 in the middle.

Is this feasible?

How about a cheek piece swap program?

I send you 6 cheeks from different foogers and you send me 6 perfectly matching ones (Or I can pay a fee if mine are scratched.) Or I can send all 6 and you can send a left and right cheek and 2 double inner cheeks like ive described above.

If this is feasible I will certianly place an order for them.

Yes, that would be awesome for those who use the rackmount kit. I'd like to extend this idea to those of us with Little Phattys. We send Moog our favorite cheeks off our 'Foogers and Moog makes matching side panels for our LP's. (With an additional cost for those of us with USB ports, of course.) What say you, Moog?

Also, how about a pedal board for our 'Foogers? I know that SOMEONE is making them, as there is proof in a thread somewhere on this forum.

I was thinking about this the other night.

I'm thinking of making two pieces that serve as "double-cheeks"... i.e. on block o'wood that mounts to both 'fooger casings. I'm getting really sick and tired of having to air-dust out my MuRF.

It seems as though all solutions to this problem are DIY for the time being. Nobody's mass producing.

http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5815 I have doubts that the pedalboards shown on this thread are DIY... :?

Yeah, I kinda wish the pedals fit together a bit better to prevent dust and stuff from getting into the middle pedal. Plus, it would look better too. One option would be to drill the holes a tad larger that the outside foogers screw into... a slightly larger diameter on either side should be enough to close the gap...

Great idea, peterkadar! It's so simple, I never would have thought of it!
