Guitars etc through voyager

Post by tunedLow » Thu Aug 19, 2004 12:23 am

I'm soon to get a mmv (see post on Studio setup with mmv), and plan on running my other instruments through it as well.

I've read some about people having good results with electric guitars through it, but I have some questions.

1) While I plan on experimenting a great deal, I'd be interested in knowing if others run their electrics through it, and how distion pedals sound in the mix, either before the mmv or in it, and will the filters give me any fuzz on their own?

2). Anybody run miked accoustics through it? I play mandolin and fiddle as well and would like to moogify them.

Thanks.

You can run just about anything through it. I like to try some weird combinations. Using the external pedal to control the filters I ran a Casio VL-Tone into the external input, which really beefed up the little thing, then also ran it through a guitar overdrive. Whatever you can think of can be done, recommend getting the pedals though.

Thanks. I've have yet to run accoustics through it, but have been enjoying my guitar through it - instant warmth!

I need a preamp before I can try accoustic stuff.
