Strange Sounds At Startup

Hi guys, I have only had my voyager for just over a month but have too just started getting a really strange noise when i turn it on. I have software and boot version 3.4.
The noise sounds like a sort of detuned saw wave with a pitch vibrato on it which lasts for about 2 seconds before a very strange high pitch 'blip' noise (completely different waveform sound to the other noise) ends the process.

Is the file that RL suggested in this thread the 3.4 boot version that I currently have anyway?

If i should still download and try this, would i just do it in the normal way that updating the voyager OS is done?

I did not know that the new OS version would change this behavior;
in any case it is competely normal for most Voyagers to do this;
the sound is heard after power is applied to the analogue board but before the digital board is booted up and sending "real" control voltages to the analog board. So, the sound you hear is whatever the analog circuits are doing in the time between when they get power, and when the synth is fully booted and ready for normal playing. The sound is a little different on each Voyager. I kind of like it, myself; it's part of the character of each instrument.

Ah thanks Amos, that's good to hear. It is actually a very interesting sound haha. Maybe I should sample it and incorporate it into a tune

I boot up my LP with the reverb cranked on my amp...it sounds like a plane is about to land.

Its a little different on each Voyager and its a little different on each preset.

This happens to me regardless of headphone volume or master volume. Its kind of annoying but I just live with it. Its like the Voyager is like "Thanks for waking me up"

It doesn't really bother me unless I forget and my ears get blasted, or if the amp Im using is picking up a really hot signal, but I still think its neat. If i had the option I might just leave it on there.
